Run Wild Blyde River challenge

6-8 April 2018, 29 June - 1 July 2018, 19-21 October 2018 Two and a half days and two nights of pure mountain splendour. This is breath-taking mountain, river and forest running, with full logistic support, all you have to do is show up and run. The trail is on single track, jeep track and game paths, covering about 43km (26 miles) over 2 days, this route has it all. Whether you are new to trail running or a seasoned veteran, this will be an experience you will never forget.  Mariepskop (or Marepe) is situated between the Blyde River Canyon and Kruger National Park, and at 1945m is one of the highest peaks in the northern Drakensberg. It forms a junction of three conservation areas, namely the Mariepskop Forest Reserve, Mariepskop State Forest, and the Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve. It is named after, chief Maripe Mashile, who used this mountain as a stronghold for his tribe during the Moholoholo war of 1864. Once on top of the mountain, one of the most breath-taking views you will ever experience is looking over the lowveld who’s vegetation and wildlife is so contrasting to where you will be standing. Run Wild mountain day runs

½ - 1 day of pure mountain splendour. This is breath-taking mountain and forest running, with full logistic support, all you have to do is show up and run. The trails are on single track, jeep track and game paths, covering about 15 - 30km (9.3-18.6 miles) over ½-1 day dependent on our pace and which option you choose. (Minimum 5 people, maximum 10) Mariepskop (or Marepe) is situated between the Blyde River Canyon and Kruger National Park, and at 1945m is one of the highest peaks in the northern Drakensberg. It forms a junction of three conservation areas, namely the Mariepskop Forest Reserve, Mariepskop State Forest, and the Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve. Fully customised experience

A 1-4 day fully customised experience is the King of all experiences. You get to work with us on a planned adventure and with such wide variety of areas to run, you will be spoilt for choices. Together we can assist you to find the perfect trail running holiday. Location Within the borders of South Africa Transport Return transport from OR Tambo International Airport or Eastgate Airport in Hoedspruit. Ability This is totally dependent on what package we put together. We will make sure the route will suite your ability to make it the best experience possible. However, for multi day events of this nature it would be wise to have multi day run experiences under the belt. Timing and location The timing and location is totally dependent on what we come up with, but it will be within the borders of South Africa. Greater Kruger half or full day experiences

A one-on-one, customised experience over ½ or a full day (for 1 or two people) A customised experience for up to two people that will give you exactly what you are looking for. You may prefer mountains to the Lowveld or you may want to run both, you choose, and we will set it up for you.  If you would like to have the same package for a larger group, please pop us a message to enquire.   LOCATION Greater Kruger Area TRANSPORT Return transport to the run start/finish from Hoedspruit. ABILITY This is totally dependent on what package we put together. We will make sure the route will suite your ability, but for runs longer than 15km you will be expected to carry hydration with you, please see compulsory kit. TIMING AND LOCATION The experience will start at 5:30am (6:30amWinterleaving from the start and finishing at the same point at approximately 12:00pm for ½ day and 4:00pm for full day.
